Mais conhecida como DearMaidy, a mineira Maidy Lacerda iniciou na vida de blogueira com o blog “Leitoras Ocultas”, uma página onde o foco era totalmente voltado para a literatura. Ao completar dois anos com o site, Maidy decidiu finalmente criar seu canal. O motivo da migração foi o desejo de não se restringir apenas à área literária e conseguir atingir um novo público.
Além de se dedicar aos vídeos, Lacerda também cursa a faculdade de cinema, onde aprende sobre 3D, design e ilustração; campo que deseja seguir em sua vida profissional.
Durante essa entrevista bem descontraída e animada, ela também revela um de seus maiores desejos que é ser autora, além de também dar novos detalhes sobre seu projeto atual “Cate & Adam”.
Como foi o início de sua vida como youtuber?
Tudo começou com um blog literário, o Leitoras Ocultas. Sempre amei ler e escrever, e vi nos blogs uma oportunidade de conhecer mais pessoas que amassem isso também! Depois de 2 anos de existência de blog, resolvi em 2015 criar o canal Dear Maidy e mudar o nome do Leitoras Ocultas para Dear Maidy também. Foi uma decisão bem difícil pra mim, mas bem importante porque eu queria falar de outros assuntos além do nicho ‘leitoras’ e um nome que fosse mais eu mesma. Então, criei o canal em 2015, mas fiquei bastante tempo parada! Comecei a me dedicar mesmo e investir nisso de 2016 para cá!
Com tantos gêneros para escolher. O que a fez querer falar sobre desenhos no canal?
Desenhos e animações é um nicho que eu sempre amei e que eu quero muito trabalhar no futuro! Sou apaixonada com design, ilustração, cinema e 3D – que aliás estudo hoje em dia – e é uma área que quero seguir como carreira. Então, diante disso resolvi transformar o conteúdo do Dear Maidy em algo que realmente amo agora e que se envolva com meu lado profissional também. O meu público amou a mudança, foi simplesmente incrível o retorno que recebi e foi o combustível fundamental pra eu transformar o Dear Maidy no que ele virou nesses meses! E tô amando esse conteúdo novo.
Sem duvidas, o seu cabelo virou sua marca entre muitos inscritos, aí veio o desafio: pintaria o cabelo de arco-íris?
(risos) então, eu sou medrosa com meu cabelo! Por exemplo, sempre quis pintar tudo de ruivo, mas fui aos poucos: Com 18 pintei só as pontinhas de ruivo, com 19 pintei do ombro pra baixo e agora com 20 finalmente pintei tudo hahahaah Acho que arco-íris demoraria uns 7 anos de transição ein!
Quais os livros que você já escreveu e qual ainda gostaria de publicar?
Ser escritora é um dos meus maiores projetos! Tenho uma saga distópica de 4 livros já escrita, 1 romance completado e umas ideias para histórias em quadrinhos bem Disney! Empresinhas, patrocina tia Maidy! Hahaha Mas quero publicar todos, de verdade, todos são meus amores!
Sobre seu novo projeto que está escrevendo. Já pode nos adiantar alguma coisa?
Ele se chama Cate & Adam e é um romance bem legal, nada convencional, entre esses dois protagonistas do título do livro. Não posso revelar muito sem dar grandes spoilers, sou péssima em sinopses resumidas hahaha mas é isso! Um romance bem diferente, com um desfecho nunca visto em livro de romance. Soltei a bomba e fui embora (risos)
O que acha da ideia de fazer um vídeo sobre a Ilha dos Desafios?
Meu Deus, não lembrava de Ilha dos Desafios, pesquisei no google e bateu uma nostalgia louca! Tenho que rever tudo de novo pra pensar em algo de vídeo, mas seria legal!

Aaaah, que pergunta difícil! Eu ficaria entre o Eric e o Alladin (risos)! Quando é teoria, tem duas formas: Ou eu me esbarro com alguma legal na internet, leio e estudo mais afundo, dando uns updates nela ou eu vejo um filme e me pipocam ideias para teorias. Estudo cinema e sou a roteirista da sala, então eu sou mestre em imaginar cenas e acontecimento alternativos, além de furos e brechas nos roteiros dos filmes (risos).
Pensa em fazer um vídeo sobre Pocahontas ainda?
Sim! Tenho umas ideias legais envolvendo Pocahontas! Me aguarde, mundo!
Como define o amor por Harry Potter?
Tenho um amor e carinho enorme por Harry Potter, que fez muito parte da minha infância, assim como Disney!

Hm, um pouco de cada! Eu comecei aprendendo sozinha, gostei, já pegava alguns freelancers, e com a demanda aumentando e vendo que poderia dar certo, resolvi investir num curso técnico – que formo esse ano junto com a faculdade em cinema.
Quais são suas inspirações como youtuber?
Meu maior sonho é chegar na marca de 1 milhão, seria surreal para mim e eu me sentiria nas nuvens. Mas desde o começo minha maior aspiração foi querer ajudar meus inscritos, alegrá-los e ser um canal que quando eles estivessem tristes, eles veriam um vídeo meu e tudo ficaria bem. Minha maior felicidade é receber comentários desse tipo!
Quais foram as maiores dificuldades para ter um canal de sucesso no YouTube? Que conselhos tem para dar para os iniciantes?
A maior dificuldade é o ínicio, de escolher nome, seguimento e aprender a falar para uma câmera. O bom do youtube é que ele tem espaço pra todo mundo, basta você se dedicar que você vai longe. Então anotem aí, pequenos gafanhotos e pequenas joaninhas: Tudo que você tem que fazer é lutar e nunca desistir, que a gente confiando na gente mesmo, dá tudo certo!
Quais são seus truques de edição?
Eita, não sei! (risos) mas normalmente deixo tudo organizado no meu computador – os filmes baixados, músicas, que já me adianta bastante tempo, e é isso. Organização já ajuda muito!
De onde veio o nome “DearMaidy”?
Veio do livro Dear John, Querido John em português, que arremete também aqueles inicios de cartas. Seria mais ou menos isso, alguém se dirigindo a mim para me contar algo ou me escrevendo algo. Já Maidy, meu apelido, veio de Mermaid, que é sereia em inglês.
Sobre Belo Horizonte, já pensou em ir para outros lugares como São Paulo ou Rio de Janeiro?
